Sodium sulfide is a colorless hygroscopic crystal with a melting point of 350 C. In the molten state, sodium hydrosulfide is black, aqueous solutions of sodium hydrosulfide enter into an alkaline reaction. When reacting with acid, H2 S is released. Usually industrial sodium sulfide is in liquid form, yellow or orange in color, bitter in taste, caustic for human skin.
Application:
It is used as a raw material in the chemical industry for the production of ammonium sulfide, sodium methosulfate and the agrochemical semi-finished product ethanethiol. A reagent regulator in the enrichment of copper ores in the mining industry. In the leather industry, it is used as a component of a composition for removing the outer layer of skins. It is used in the chemical industry to remove monomeric sulfur in desulfurizers with activated carbon. In the textile industry, it is used in the production of artificial fiber during dyeing.
Packaging:
Solid products are packed in 25 kg polyethylene bags, and liquid products are packed in barrels or tank trucks.
